Age: 28

What work did you do while on the program?

Jason worked as a Sales Associate in an up market store in London. He found this job from the listings at the BUNAC office after 12 days of looking. He worked 40 hours per week and was paid $270 per week.

What was your accommodation?

Jason again used the BUNAC listings to find his shared apartment in London. It took him 3 days to find his accommodation and he paid $120 per week.

Did you travel while you were there?

After he had finished working in the UK Jason spent Thanksgiving in Germany, visited friends in The Netherlands and Belgium, and also managed to spend some time in France.

What is your top tip for future participants?

I wish I could go back myself, because there are countless things that I wish I had done but ran out of time. Take the opportunity while it exists, and you will not regret it.

What do you miss about your host country?

London, my friends, the chocolate shop, all the theater and music I had taken for granted, and the ability to see and do a huge variety of things at all times, walking around the city, reading in Queen Mary’s gardens in Regent’s Park…....on and on – I miss it tons!!

What did you miss about the USA?

The Red Sox; they were in the playoffs and I had to stay up until 4am to see the games!
